Introduction to Interledger
Welcome to the Introduction to Interledger course!
This course contains four units that should take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
Each unit has 1 to 2 discussion prompts to be answered in Slack. The course is complete after the facilitator checks your responses.

In this unit, you will:
- Understand the meaning and importance of digital financial inclusion
- Learn about some of the barriers to digital financial inclusion in different parts of the globe
In this unit, you will:
- Understand why systems need to embody:
- interoperability
- the values of open source and open standards
- building out digital public infrastructure
- Learn about the challenges faced by different members of the Interledger community and how they are overcoming those challenges
In this unit, you will:
- Understand how the Interledger Protocol works and its affordances as a technology
- Learn about the Open Payments standard and how it relates to the Interledger Protocol
- Transfer (test) money using the Interledger Protocol
